Event: 2nd international drought symposium

We are excited to organize the second drought symposium on the 50th anniversary of UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme (IHP). There will be a keynote speaker and the rest of the day will be filled with presentation on different aspects of drought, water scarcity and nature-based solutions.
Topics to be covered:
- · Understanding drought and its impact on the environment
- · Drought analysis advancements using drought indices
- · Drought under changing climate and drought risk assessment
- · Early warning systems for drought risk reduction
- · Nature-based solutions as drought mitigation/adaptation measures
- · Drought monitoring via citizen of science and Internet of Things (IoT) approach
· The use of remote sensing to advance drought monitoring and assessment
· Water scarcity and its severe impact
Postdoc’s, PhD, master’s students, consultants, independent researchers, etc., are welcome to participate. The details of the program and abstract submission deadlines can be found below:
